Deepa says about the surname malla Malla belongs to the royal thakuri caste in NEPAL like Rajputs in India. Malla were the pure thakuris , SUCH AS khand, Bam ,Malla are considered pure thakuris, wheras Malla king also married some Newari women and were considered Mistress lyte, therefore kids born from Newari women put their children surname Malla, which is now Newar Malla, but thakuri Malla is the actual thakuri Malla before Saha dynasty exists.
