Dr Rajesh Bhat says Lidhoos have a origin from Ladhoo town of South Kashmir where from some Bhat families had moved to Sopore town of Noth Kashmir in early 1700 for trade. In Sopore they were later called as Bhats from Ladhoo..... and hence Lidhoo or Lidhu or Ladhu.
