Wazir is a surname which is used by both Kashmiri Pandits and Rajputs. Outside Kashmir valley it is used by Rajputs in Kishtwar, Doda as well as in parts of Katra region.

wazir is a kashmiri surname as kashmiris are very intelligent and they were the one of the most educated people so they were ministers in the court of royal dogras so they have inherited their surname from the profession.

Actually a very common Kashmiri surname. Example: actress Shivani Wazir. In fact, I have some family members with this surname as well.

There are definitely Wazir's that are Kashmiri. The previous poster did not read the instructions on this site. If any Kashmiri has a Wazir surname (which they do), it is ok. It does not mean that Wazir's are only found in Kashmir.
