Deepak Kaul says Hi, I have been told by my elders that Our actual surname is 'Kothedar/Kothdar' with gotra as 'Dar-Varshignye'. We have been writing Kaul for quite sometime now ( more than 100 yrs appx), We came to srinagar a long time back but its been said that we actually belong to District Baramulla . I just need to check that whether any other person having Surname "Kothedar" has the same gotra or belongs to Baramulla or not. This would confirm what my elders say.
